May 21, 2011 1:27 PM in response to alejandro186by quietblade,After I removed the pirated FaceTime, the problem is resolved. It seems that pirated applications are the problem.

Jun 26, 2011 1:06 AM in response to alejandro186by Kryn Sporry,I agree with some of the others: why installing pirated software? Especially facetime, it's not exactly expensive, so why not just lash out those few bucks and buy it?

Jul 11, 2011 9:48 PM in response to alejandro186by phck,No solution here.
I removed the "infected" Facetime and got a cleaned App Store.
After installing Facetime from the App Store, problem reappeared.

I bought ALL of my apps from the MAS and got an infected/pirated Facetime from THERE (I am willing to show my bill). I spend one buck (79 Eurocent). I would appreciate to get a clean software even if I spend 1 penny for it. It´s not a matter of money but of trust which got lost. Apple will not be able to buy this from me again.

Aug 20, 2011 1:00 AM in response to quietbladeby jeffed,I was finally able to resolve this issue. Thank you for all your work and comments on this thread.
Turns out I had a copy of the Facetime app file on an external drive.
What I had to do (besides deleting Facetime from Applications with AppZapper) was:
I had to quit the App Store. Then I had to delete the other Facetime file with AppZapper, AND THEN I had to Secure Empty my Trash bin to get all the files to delete.
Once I did this Twitter left my updates available tab (I had never actually downlaod Twitter), so I had no updates. Then I was able to download Twitter from the main App Store.
I hope this helps anyone who is still stuck! This took awhile for me to get fixed!!
