how do i stop my screen from moving around when i scroll or move my cursor around a window or even my desktop itself? it seems as if the actual display is too big for my macbook screen... the whole display moves around when i scroll around with one finger... scrolling with two fingers is fine within a window or webpage but navigating my display/desktop/webpage/window with one finger causes the display to move about 😟

I think you've accidentally zoomed the screen by holding down the ctrl key and then scrolling upwards on the trackpad with two fingers. When you do this, the screen appears to scroll as the mouse moves. It's actually a useful feature but it can sometimes catch you unawares.
To reset the screen, hold down the ctrl key with the left hand, then rest two fingers of the right hand on the track pad. Now pull down with both fingers. You should see the screen return to its normal size.
This feature is called "Screen Zoom" and it can be turned off in System Preferences > Track Pad if you prefer.
