How to change iTunes Dock name to song playing?

You want the actual filename to change to the song title then change back? To what?

The filename should already be the song name.

Right click on the icon will show the song playing (as well as show a few controls).

There are apps that will display the info in various was. You can click the green button to turn on the mini controller.

This app -> iTunesPlay will put the info in the menu bar.

You do have the Dock auto hide, correct? It does use a lot of real estate.

Which script are you currently using to change the artwork?

How about extracting the GetInfo data from the item playing first, then apply to the object you are "displaying"

To me, it sounds like Hamper is running the script but didn't write it.

Hamper, can you post the code or link to the script (or where u got it)... perhaps someone will be willing to tear it up and incorporate the feature you are looking for (assuming it can be done).
