How to change iTunes Dock name to song playing?

I have an AppleScript that will change the iTune's Dock icon to whatever album art the song playing is from, I think this is really neat and would like to go the next step and change the filename to represent the Track playing. Of course once the song/movie is paused or stops the icon reverts back to the original, the same I would expect for the filename.

Can this be done, if so, then how pre tell?

I have been all over DougScripts and not found anything.

MacBook (white), Mac OS X (10.6.6), 4GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM

I don't understand what you are asing.

You want the actual filename to change to the song title then change back? To what?

The filename should already be the song name.

No, I mean the name of iTunes itself. Right now when a song is playing (provided it contains album art) the actual Dock icon will change to show this, as the song is playing, then reverting back to iTune's actual icon when the song is finished (or paused).

But sometimes I would like to know the name of the song playing and so I was hoping the same could b done to the name of iTunes in the Dock, this just more visual trickery and along the same lines so as to make no permanent changes.

Thanks!

things are a little cluttered, I'm on a 13.3" screen

You do have the Dock auto hide, correct? It does use a lot of real estate.

Here's a script from Dougscripts -> iTunes Overlay

"Puts a persistent semi-transparent re-positionable 11 pixel-high box over all desktop windows and applications which displays info about the currently playing track in iTunes".

Which script are you currently using to change the artwork?
