by mistake I've syncronized lots of photos from my Windows PC to my iPad 2 during the first connection thru iTunes. Now I can not delete those phtos because the DELETE button, which appears in RED, doesn't do anything. Any suggestions? Tks,

Photos transferred from your computer via the iTunes sync process are removed in the same way the photos were transferred - via the iTunes sync process.
To remove all photos, deselect Sync Photos under the Photos tab for your iPad sync preferences with iTunes followed by a sync.
Allan, I've tried that many times and it doesn't work. iTunes tells me that it will remove the photos that were sync'd.Nothing, the albums are still there.
More than that, I bought Photo Manager Pro for App Store because somebody mentioned in the web that it really delete photos.....not true.
No such problem when doing so with my iPhone or iPad. This is not normal, so something is wrong.
The only thing I can suggest is restoring your iPad with iTunes. You can try restoring from your iPad's backup first - photos transferred from your computer aren't included with the backup but settings are. Have Sync Photos under the Photos tab deselected before selecting Restore.
Have you tried deleting the photo cache on your computer (it will be called iPod Photo Cache and should be under the same directory as you chose to sync the photos from), and re-syncing with no photos. If that doesn't work then try syncing just an empty folder (or with just one photo in it).
Your suggestion works perfectly, but it requires modifying your albums/folders in the source. I wonder if Apple will ever comment why you can not just delete uploaded photos in the iPad directly. It's an annoying thing.

My thinking on why you can't do it directly on the iPad, is that if you then re-sync the folder then the photos will re-appear on the iPad, unless you remembered to also remove them from your computer.
You're absolutely right. This is not just "Folder Sharing" in the Microsoft/Messenger world or disk data replication in the real IBM/EMC world.
