MTS Files

iMovie Commuinty,

I would like to know what the best solution would be:

My canon records HD videos in the .mts file format

I have Toast (Platinum) as the file coverter.

I woud like to use iMovie to edit my videos and I am struggling to get a conversion setting that will allow me to retain the full HD quality as from the mts file.

Could anbody suggest a codec/conversion setting that would assist me in this. I understand quality loss is unavoidable, nut I would like to keep this to a minimum!
