Safari is somethimes like frozen, only back and forward Works. After restart it Works for a while.
Also the performance of Safari is somethimes very bad, my iphone4 in the same WLAN Works much faster.

There are no tabs in safari.

I have tabs in Safari. Sometimes they close, sometimes they don't. Can't seem to be able to do it consistently. Just got my iPad 2 for Christmas.
