Other than connecting a camera to my iPad 2, are there other uses for the USB connector that comes with the Camera Connection Kit?
Like can you connect to a Hard drive?
Can you connect to a MBP and move data?

No - you can only transfer photos and videos. Hard drives and flash drives cannot be used (the iPad does not provide much power to its port so most card readers don't even work). And why would you want to connect an MBP via the CCK, you might as well just use the standard cable and iTunes ?

As the other poster stated no you cannot. However there are some unofficial things. I hook up my powered USB audio interface and it works perfectly. Since these are not advertised uses there is no way to know what all will work, but for your uses it definitely would not.

I guess it makes sense that it is not well powered.
That could make for a VERY short battery life!
