My iphone 3g is stuck on the apple logo

I have the same issue. I reseted all my settings on my iphone and then when I check. I now see that My phone wont even turn on. Its stuck at the apple logo. I cant even restore because it comes with an error message saying that my version is too high

That's almost certainly why you can't restore. you will have to go to Non-Apple forums for help with jailbroken phones, both because Apple won't allow discussions of JB phones and because few people here know how to resolve it. It's especially difficult as there are many different ways to JB, and your solution will depend on how you did it and what version you JB'd.

There's really no solution to this; your baseband and iOS versions are out of sync. The next major version MAY fix it.

I dont really know anything about the phone because I bought it off ebay. It worked perfectly and then I had no idea that resetting it would make my iphone complelety dead. its stuck at the apple silver logo. Can you tell me what the error 1015 means?

I've read more threads and Im trying to downgrade to 3.0 restore.

I cant fix it it will be like $299

Error 1015: This error is caused by attempts to downgrade the iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch's software. This can occur when you attempt to restore using an older .ipsw file. Downgrading to a previous version is not supported. To resolve this issue, attempt to restore with the latest iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch software available from Apple.

there are ways to do it, but they require hacking your phone; you can't just restore it in iTunes. Google is your best friend for solving this.

hold the center button and the power off button the phone until it turns off and then turns back on...should resolve the issue

no stuck at" plug into itunes " screen. ive tried that all the time. for now im trying to restore with firmware and whatnot. let see if itll work

i think we hadd different error probs but mine was jailbroken by some cheapskate on ebay lol but first of all i dont even know how and what program is used to jailbreak.i mean is every phone jailbroke the same way? and how do you unjail break it???

and what is firmware? ive downloaded all this firmware 3.2 3.1 and programs such as tiny umbrella, redsnow, ireb to fix this error 1015. and nothing still works. the problem is i wasnt the one who jailbreaked it or whatever so I dont know how to fix it.

what is ultrasnow? when u say jailbroked, does that mean u got urs fixed from being able to restore?

i took the logic board out of mine left it for 5 mins then put it back in after that i ran a restore and it worked fine hope this helps

1604 1603 1602 seems to be a usb issue ( i though ) but that could also be a screen faillure. or any other hardware thats not connected on the right way.

I just had a phone from a customer with the same problem, 3g. it comes on a apple loge, when youtrie to restore it it boots and stuck on a apple logo 160X error. i did check the hardware and my thoughts where the thouchscreen wasn't ok. i replaced it and now the phone worked ok! so this might help people.. beware that if mees with your phone the garanty will fall..

Yes, if you discuss jailbreaking your message will be removed by the mods, but there are plenty of other fora if the need arises.
