i've been synching my iphone with my macbook pro, and just bought an imac for use at home. is it possible to synch my iphone to both computers so that the itunes content and pics and such are the same on all? i'ved search help and the forums and can't find a clear answer.

That's what I thought, just hadn't seen whether photos were included.

i'm surprised this isn't possible. it's shortsighted considering apple has so many different devices they'd like us to buy.
how can i switch the "master" computer for my iphone to my imac? this wasn't an option shown when i attempted to do this earlier today...

Plug it in and sync it.
It will erase the current itunes content and pics content from the iphone and replace with content from the new computer.
thanks, but when i tried that it did not give me the option to transfer my itunes content from my iphone to my imac. do i need to first to do this manually?
iTunes running, connect your phone: File>Transfer Purchases.
