Metronome Settings, Options & Preferences

I'm recording drum tracks and finding it rather difficult to hear the click while tracking? I've serched GB help , checked my metronome settings for further options and have found nothing. I like something a little more prominent with good defintion. Ideally a click track with accented and unaccented sounds. Usually a cowbell sound does the trick. Is it possible to change the metronome sound at all? Also, just curious if it's possible to have the click on it's own seperate track? This way I can mute and unmute without using the mouse so much to go into settings etc.

If none of these options are possible any suggestions on what to use? Thanks a bunch!

There are no setting for the metronome other than On and Off.

The actual answer is no, but only because of the way you asked the question. You can not change the metronome...

Ahhh, now this is the right question. You can use any one (or combination )of GB's Drum Loops (or write your own) on its own track so that you can set the volume any way you wish.

I generally pick a very straight fwd drum loop to use as my click track.

Thanks. Funny - I considered that all along, but was appprehensive. Still, I'd prefer to have straight quarter notes, It makes it easier (for me at least) to play against the sudivisions.

Being a complete newbie to the loop game, how can go about this?

At its simplest:

Click the "Eye" icon, click "Drums" and perhaps some of the other filters if you wish, and then click on the results to audition them. When you find one you like, drag it up into a blank area in the timeline. A new track will be created with that loop. You can then grab the top right edge of the loop and drag right to make it repeat for as long as you wish.

Using the most basic drum beat can get you a nice straight beat to follow.

You posted as I was making a correction, hope I didn't confuse you ... when I said "Drag left" naturally I meant the OTHER left, which is "right"

Grab the top right edge of the loop and drag right to extend it as far as you wish.
