Gevey Sim Kit

Do using a gevey sim kit voids my apple warranty? Because it is the only way I can use my iphone to my country. Does it have any side effects? Please clear thanks!

Hello! I want your help! I don't know if my phone is unlocked! I bought it in Singtel Singapore and I want to use it in the Philippines. I don't know if it is unlocked but when I checked the lists http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1937 as you can see there are no checks in the locked to carrier box in Singtel. I got this 50-50 feeling that it was unlocked but I want to make it 100 and I am not sure how to look at an unlocked iphone.

There is no way to tell by looking at the phone. All phones in Singapore are sold unlocked. If you are using an official Apple cell service provider in the Phillipines you should not have any trouble setting your iPhone up. If not then you need to get assistance from your cell provider. Some of the functions of the iPhone may not work with your provider.

Sorry for hooking this up again. Well for deggie.. The carrier name is showing next to signal strength. But that thing still pops up. Should connecting it to itunes can solve my problem 100%? It seems all the iphone 4 from Singapore are all unlocked. But why I am being adviced by my friend here to use this Gevey Sim Card? Please help thanks!

Alright! Man my iphone 4 is fixed! 😀 But that ***** cuz I bought that Gevey Sim to unlock my phone. Knowing that it was already factory unlocked. Lost 30$ lol but atleast I am using it right now. How noob am I lol. But sometimes that network cellular data is still pops up. Hmmm i'll update this if anything goes wrong again. Well one question do calling (but not connecting) to 112 makes your phone activate? Please make it clear where do you get this that when I connect it to iTunes my iphone will get activated? Thanks!

If it is working now, i think that "Cellular Data Network" pop up message just want's you to open the Cellular Data switch to "on" so you can connect to the internet. The pop up message have the "Settings" button so you go straight to the Network Settings.

As I've said switching to on will allow you internet connection, it also have the Enable 3G switch, which will use 3G connection for faster data transfer, but it will drain the battery a bit faster...
