How do I download pictures from my camera using a XD card to my Ipad?

You you mean "xD" like from an Olympus camera? If so, then you have three choices:


  1. Sync camera to your computer by either USB or xD card reader. Then sync pictures to iPad by USB cable.
  2. Attach camera by USB cable to iPad Camera Connection Kit.
  3. USB xD card reader inserted to iPad Camera Connection Kit. Many readers will give an error that it draws too much power so this may or may not work. (With a powered USB hub, then it may work, if you can deal with the inconvenience.)


1 & 2 are arguably the simplest ways. If you can find a card reader that does work with the CCK then 3 may be useful. But all the xD card readers I can find are "multicard" readers and all the multicard readers I've tried will give the "too much power" error. The only card reader I've gotten to work is a very old "single slot" CF reader. It was USB1 and I suspect that was why it used less power and so no error message. So 3 will probably be a lot of trial and error.
