Has anyone had any success restoring the camera roll of an iPhone 4 to an iPad 2 from an iTunes backup?
It should work in theory right? I tried but no photos seem to show up, help? 😟

You need to IMPORT the photos from the camera roll of your iPhone into iTunes. You then synch those photos from iTunes to your iPad. You can't transfer them directly.

bummer i was hoping since it was an iOS device with a camera, iTunes would think it was a giant iPhone and restore the camera roll from my previous iPhone 4 backup.
i've no other iOS device to retrieve those photos and i'm on a mac so can't use iphonebackup extractor or something for windows 😟
