My ipod Touch is in recovery mode, has error code 6

My iPod Touch (from 2009) has ceased to function.Mine video files and music vanished when I made a iPod update software, it stopped working completely. Can not do factory reset because itunes says that iPod is in recovery mode. I must, accordingly to itunes first restore the iPod before I can use it with itunes. I received error code No 6.The only thing iPod screen displays is a picture of the itunes symbol and a cable connector connecting via usb. How do I restore my iPod Touch? I have Windows Vista and the latest version of iTunes.

From the article cited at the end of my post:

Error 6: All of the steps in this article apply to resolve this issue. Following iTunes for Windows: Troubleshooting security software frequently resolves this error. There may be third-party software installed that modifies your default packet size in Windows by inserting a TcpWindowSize entry into your Registry. If your default packet size is set incorrectly it can cause this error. Contact the manufacturer of the software that installed the packet size modification for assistance.

I read everything. I does not know how open a specific ports för Apple servers.I dont know what the default packet size is all about,i does not get it.I tried to use the Ipod on different usb ports,it does not help.

I also tried to deactivate my antivirus software realtime protection for a while. My firewall is Zoom and antivirus is Avast. I have latest version of both Windows and Itunes.I tried using a another computer, but i could not install itunes on that computer. The only thing I have not used is advanced steps.
