does anyone know when an update to the regular macbook will be this year?

    Apple doesn't disclose updates before formally announcing them. However, if you're interested in the historical rhythm of these things (history, not speculation):

     

    The average number of days between Macbook updates has been 195 days. However, according to a website that tracks this, it's been 364 days since Apple last updated it. So there's been a longer than average period of time since the last update.
