3rd party data recovery software ~~maybe~~.    If you have been using your computer since deleting the library, you may be SOL.

If the library contained purchased songs from iTunes, check out iTunes Store - Finding Lost Music FAQ

It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer.  use your backup copy to put everything back.

If for some reason you have failed to maintain a backup ( not good), then you can transfer itunes purchases from an ipod.  File>Transfer Purchases

You can download music that you purchased from the iTunes store again, you'll have to contact Apple support to get started.

Do you have a backup? if (as I suspect) no then you will have to get hold of the originals and import them to iTunes again.

"You can download music that you purchased from the iTunes store again, "

Not true.  On some occasions, a redownload has been granted, but that is not the norm or the policy.  You buy one and only one download.

Love the way you select bits from my post to make your point, the rest of that line reads "you'll have to contact Apple support to get started."

I have done this myself, as have many other's, maybe you have some other actual experience to share?

Please don't edit my posts when you quote, it's tacky.
