A few other macs are also connected to the same network but only the iMac experiences this problem. Other mac are on OS10.5. iMac is on 10.6.7 with magic mouse.

Thanks Blue. Seems like we're not alone which gives me some hope that apple might be able to rectify it from a software update.
Lugging an iMac back to the service center is no joke. 😟
Yeah, mine being the 27" it's going to be a major pain to package it up, haul it to the mall, then cart it into the Apple store. But with a failing $2500 computer I don't see that I have much choice.
My AirPort connect froze again about an hour ago 😟
If you learn anything new, please post it in that thread I linked to above. This issue appears to be far from resolved and we all need a fix or to get Apple's attention in the matter.
New iMac Sandy Bridge randomly drops connections while airport reads full bar. Any ideas?
