How do I remove listings of ibooks.

I have a listing of books I have purchased in iTunes and would like to remove them from the listing. How do I remove (Delete) them?

You CAN hide the purchases by going to iTunes selecting purchases sliding the section of the book and telling it hide. You CAN remove the books even without ibooks by going to the settings>usage>ibooks and press "delete application" it should prompt you about loss of books and just ignore it and press okay.

Hi,

but instead of removing books from your iPad or in iTunes you can do something better:

- On the iPad side you can organize your books in "Collections". So you will not have endless lists but neatly organized compartments of your book library.

- In iTunes you can choose not to sync all the books you bought, but only the ones you want to store on your iPad.

This sounds a lttle like a professor I once knew.

You say to do things with the books that I no longer want, but you don't have a solution for what I want to do.

First off, I don't want to make a "collection of books". and if I did, you didn't tell me how to do that.

Secondly, you tell me not to sync all my books to the store, but you don't tell me how to do that either.

If you suggest solutions to problems, don't assume that everyone is as knowledgable as you are as to how to do the things you suggest. Tell us "HOW" to do it.

Thanks for trying to help!

To delete books directly on the iPad;

  • In iBooks, select Edit on the top right.
  • Tap the books you want to delete the tap Delete at top left.

To not sync books from iTunes to the iPad (keep them off the iPad), select the iPad in iTunes.

Click the Books tab at top.

To remove all books from the iPad;

Uncheck Sync books.

To sync all books to the iPad;

  • Check Sync books.
  • Select All books to sync everything.

To sync selected books to the iPad;

  • Check Sync books.
  • Select Seleted books.
  • Tick the books you want on the iPad.

have you tried going to purchases in iTunes and deleting the books from there?

i know that you can delete books purchased and then delete them from your ipad,

also you will have to open the itunes folder on your computer (default or whatever you may have named it) and delete the purchase from there as iTunes automatically stores it there also.

hope this helps
