I lost my ipod a few days ago, and i cant find it. I searched everywhere in my house, and im afraid it might be lost or stolen. I got the ipod for christmas of 2010, and i would like to know if i was still able to replace it, or if there is a way to track it and locate it. Considering how popular ipods are, i doubt anyone would report a found ipod touch. Any advice or ideas?

If you set up the Find My iPod service before you lost it, then you can perhaps track it, or send a tone to it and listen for it in your house. If you did not set this service up beforehand, then there is no way to track it.
As to replacing it, of course you can replace it. Just go out and buy one for the normal price of purchase. I'm not sure what else you would be expecting.

If you had FindMyiPhone setup n the iPod and wifi is on and it is within range of an unsecured wifi spot or to a secured spot you automatically join and the iPod had not been restored or wifi turned off you can find it. Otherwise not. If it was stolen report it to the police. Change the passwords for all accounts used on the iPod.
Would i be able to set it up from the Apple site? Or is the Find My Ipod service an app for the ipod?
You would have had to set up the service on your iPod.

I unforunately had my Ipod stollen along with my purse back in Febuary. The police say that there is no way to find my IPod. They can only use the built in GPS if you were in a life or death position. I did not have the findmyipodtouch app on my ipod, but I did place it on my new one. Good luck and I hope you do find it.
