Typing in all caps indicates shouting, is considered rude, and is difficult to read.
Many simply do not read such posts.
You cannot get rid of other. It can be contacts/calendars/favorites/voicemail/etc.
it is completely normal to have 400 - 800 mb of other.
If you have much more that n this, then it indicates corrupt files. A restore should resolve.
In the future, you may want to search the forums first before YELLING at us, as your qeusiton has been asked and answered many times.
You probably have some data corruption. You'll need to restore your phone.
Sorry for the yelling..
Solution
My "other" partition was up to 25G !!!! on my iphone 4S and I didn't want to restore my phone as I would loose important SMS and info on it and re-arrnage 1000 apps again.
I found this link and followed the steps

Using that program suggested was free too. I used it straight away after downloading it. I removed my files in
"media Folder". These 3 folders was where I found the solution.
- Music - all the "F" files
- ApplicationArchives - all the big stuff
- Recordings - all currupt M4a in there
Vola! My phone now has 25GB back!!!!! Other is just 26 killo bytes! yes Killo bytes!
Hope that helps
Cheers
Do u think this will work for the iPad
Do like I did, get rid of the iPhone and problem solved...Apple is well aware of the problem and as usual they will not do anything to solve it.
I tried to restore but the other crawled back in again. Then I did a restore as new iPad and now is tip top.
It will keep coming back as you use the phone. It is normal. Things like apps store data and iTunes Match and iTunes Radio create a cache file that stores the music as you play it to save on downloading later.
