i have a problem. it began happening just recently. when i'm on facetime, and i plug in the white earphones, it went completely mute. the other party was unable to hear what i am saying but i can hear them. what is the problem? im using the new macbook pro.

the funny thing is im called apple support and they told me there's nothing to be done about it because there hasnt been a problem on facetime? apple is disappointing me now!
this just started happening to me, after using the headphones with facetime on my macbook pro for quite some time. did you ever figure out what was wrong? i don't know why it would suddently change.what happens now is i make a call with the headphones in, the video works for maybe 15 seconds then freezes, all while they are saying they can't hear me, and then the call fails. probably because it's not picking up anything on my end. any ideas? it works fine without the headphones.
Having the same or similar problem. On my macbook pro, when I use facetime with head phones the other person can hear and see me but I cannot hear them, it get weirder, if I hit the mute button it unmutes the other person on my end but makes it where they can nolonger hear me. This problem happens with all the headphone (with mics of course) than I have tried. Please help! I will be calling support next time I am off work.
