MP42 Codec

Does anyone know how I can get a MP42 Codec or how to transfer it to another viewing format? Grazie!

Powerbook G4, Mac OS X (10.4.3)

You can try this codec but I have never had occasion to try it so there are no guarantees.

Regarding conversion to other formats, you will need to be able to play it to convert it

MP42 - Mpeg4v2 is an old Microsoft Windows Video format.
Flip4Mac Player can play it. Flip4Mac Player Pro will allow you to save it as mov (Quicktime) or export/convert to another format from QuicktimePro.

VLC and mPlayer can both playback MP42 video. ffmpegX can reencode to another video type. All three are free and you can find them via macupdate.com or versiontracker.com
