How do you unsubscribe from the New Yorker

Subscribing seems to be easy enough but how do you unsubscribe. Their website suggests the only way is to call some phone number. Is this correct?

If it was a free app,all you have to do is hold your finger on the app icon until it starts to jiggle and an X appears at the top left corner of the icon. Tap on that X and the app will be deleted. Then push your 'home' button to stop the icons from jiggling.

I don't mean to speak for the OP, but I don't think deleting the App is what he's asking about. He bought a subscription to the New Yorker and now wants to cancel that subscription and was (evidently) hoping that unsubscribing was as easy as subscribing. I don't think getting out of a subscription is as simple as buying one.

rbrylawski, you are correct. Deleting the app is no problem, its stopping the automatic charge to my credit card that is the challenge. I will call the number after the third issue is downloaded. I hope I can find that number again ;-) it took a few pages on the New Yorker website and I'm not even sure it is the right place... I'll start there though. Through the app would seem to be a better approach.

Good idea but no setting for the new yorker. The app points back to the app store. One button to a webpage for leaving comments. My question of 1 week ago hasn't been answered. I asked again about unsubscribing. The other bottom leads to a webpage with a FAQ. There is an entry about subscribing or problems with your subscription and gives a phone number. Nothing about unsubscribing. I'm back to trying the phone number in a week or so after the third edition is downloaded.

I finally got an email from a New Yorker 'affiliate' with an answer. It's not too bad now that I know what to do. From iTunes go to View My Account, there was a manage app subscription button, clicking that got me to a page where I could turn off auto-renewal. Hopefully that will work and the subscription will expire at the end of the four issues.
