accidentally unplugged ipod...now not working

My 60 GB ipod had taken over 10 mins to load up and was still not finished, when I went to look at it and why it was not working and crashing my pc (as it never takes THAT long) I accidentally unplugged it. All of my usb's now dont work appart from the keyboard and I cant get itunes to recognise the ipod. it will charge it but not recognise that its connected??!!! ipod itself working perfectly.
Please help.
I have tried all of apples advice, ie reset restore etc but still no joy.
Has this happened to anypne before and how do i fix it?

Clueless,

Welcome to Apple Discussions. Your issue sounds much like a USB issue (USB devices should be unmounted before being physically removed or damage to the USB buses can occur - hindsight's a wonderful thing). As this is a forum for a particular type of iMac hardware (the iMac G4 Flat Panel "How to expand" forum) you are unlikely to get much help.

Really you need to re-post in a PC/Windows help web site or at the very least this iPod for Windows forum.

Sorry not be of more help... if you had a Mac we'd have some ideas!

Good Luck
