My brother in law has 10.4.11. At some point, he was informed that there was a newer version of iTunes. He upgraded. Now it doesn't work. How does he go back to a version that works with Tiger?
Get the latest version for Tiger here:
iTunes 9.2.1, http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1056
Will he have to remove the old one somehow, or will the new (old 9.2.1) remove the currently installed but not working version?
He can drag the non-functioning iTunes application from his application folder to the trash.
Thanks. I'll have him do that. For extra measure, I will probably suggest he trash the iTunes .plist files and run disk utility before installing for good measure.
I'll report back when I find out how it goes.
My brother in law reports that all went well and that things are again back to normal.
Thanks for your help.
