How can I read my iBooks on my PC?

Is it possible to read my iBooks on my PC

If yes, how do I do it?

If no - when is this going to be able to happen?

Thanks

I have a desktop PC with iTunes, but I have an Apple iPad with iBooks

I'm asking here in the iBooks forum as it relates to iBooks, I'll also ask in iPad because it relates to iPad as well

iPad, Windows 7

I'm surprised this still hasn't been resolved officially.

Today I can only read iBooks on Apple devices, while competitors like Google Play Books and Amazon's Kindle have apps available for most platforms and also web based readers.

I'm not asking for a dedicated Windows/Android app but is it to much to ask just having the ability to log into iCloud on my browser and read these books?

I want an iBooks reader for Windows. I love iBooks Author for it's functionality (The EULA doesnt bother me - I'm not selling anything) - there is no other epub authoring app with the same widgets or ease of use around. I just want people to be able to read my books no matter what platform they are on. COME ON APPLE - GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER AND GIVE US IBOOKS FOR PC!!!!!

Shadowhawk... you and rest of the naysayers have it wrong, it is possible. It is obvious and simple way, but I wouldn't go to details, because it could be considered infringement. Strange Apple world we live in; you purchassed and downloaded book to your overpriced iPad and Apple wouldn't allow you to read it on your way overpriced iMac. Go figure.

Well Tom, as you are probably aware, I may run (and I exclusively do) on my owerpriced iMac MS OS and I have searched heavens and earth, but I can't find iBooks for it. So, it is still the case; I can't read book published by Apple on Apple product. If you know how I can get the app for my iMac MS OS, I would be gratefull.

The iBooks app became available for OS X last year so this is no longer the case.

Tom, so you implying that the 8% out of all operating systems in the world Apple OS users are on the mark and 90% of MS OS users are idiots? I just like to see Apple making my life easier; they are the ones who published iTunes for MS OS; but for some unknown reason to me, they limit its use. Take for example WeChat app; it is available for all platforms.

I have purchased for free "Honors Chemistry: Matter - Properties and Changes" by Sylvia E. Maffucci from my iTunes from my PC and I am unable to view or even read this book from my iPhone 5s's iBook app. I get a messages that says that I have to open it from my iBook app on iPad or Mac, but for some reason its not viewable from my iBook app on my iPhone. I only own an iPhone and do not own an iPad or Macintosh computer system. Am I really expected to purchase a brand new iPad or iMac computer system just to read a text book? Why can't I view this book from my iBook app installed on my iPhone? Its these kinds of problems that just make me not like Apple. I can't wait to get a Windows phone and completely do away with anything trademarked by Apple. Nothing works!!!

I have 30+ purchased ibooks NOT free books and I have added them to a library in my firefox browser! Follow the simple steps from my first reply and see for yourself. mozilla Firefox and Epub Viewer add-on then open the ibooks file location in windows explorer and select open with Firefox and viola.
