Older Time Machine Backup

I have recently used Time Machine and when it updates my computer it creates a new file right? Well I restored my computer and then I've been trying to use my back up from a few days ago. Any way I can do this without deleting my backup of the latest ones?

Example: I have a 2011-5-10 but the latest one is 2011-5-21, I want to use the 2011-5-10 but still keep the 2011-5-21 file

Any help would be appreciated🙂

So far as I know, Time Machine backs up files, even if they are the same filename, etc., as long as there is a difference between them. So as long as you don't start running out of space on your drive, it should keep both backups. When you begin to run out of space, however, it will start removing files from the older backups to make room for newer ones.
