Q: iPad headphone jack not working

Recently during an airplane flight I wanted to listen to my iPad with headphones. No sound. The iPad's internal speaker works just fine. In the car, I hooked a recharge/line out adapter and still no sound. This has never happened before. After some experimentation I found a reliable fix: start up Skype. For some reason it fixes everything. iOS 4.3.3

Head phones not working.
Just turned of IPad for a few minutes plunged in headphones turned IPad back on. Fixed!!

I had this problem, just worked out if you go into Settings > General > Accessibility > Turn Mono Audio On
