I am getting mac repair pop ups and spam emails I never got before. I heard there was a virus. Is this it? And how do I get rid of it.

Do a forum search for removal instructions. It's malware or a trojen.
There are no mac viruses for os x.
Malware does not install itself, and it is caused by users following installation instruction from various "virus protection software" applications. From the number of users that have installed this software, it seems as though this is the early-21st century version of the Nigerian scam ("I found your email address accidentally, and I was to give you $30 million. Send me your account information, and I'll deposit it directly.")
i think i have some kind of virus. keep getting popups about a mac repair. keep getting spam emails that i used to never get. Help!
