How do you get the iPad 1 to play music

I recently bought an iPad 1. I synced it up w/iTunes on my iMac.

For some reason, I can't get any of the music that was synced to play on my iPad? Do you need to download iTunes or an App to play music on the iPad?

Thanks

iPad, iOS 4.3.2, It has the latest iOS

When you synced your iPad, did you then open the actual device (click on the device on the left hand side)? Then when the device is open, you go up to music and check the songs/albums you want to sync to the iPad. The music will then appear in your iPod app, which is native to the iPad. You open the iPod and your synced music should be there and easily played. If that is not the case, let us know.
