My iPhone 4 just turned itself off and rebooted and when it came back on every single text message was deleted. What would cause this?? I feel like it has been running slow and buggy lately. But have the latest software. Not sure what I can do??
I know this might be a little old, but I just got my 3GS 32GB to do just that, I was in the middle of sending a picture and it froze, rebooted, and I had nothing in my messages.. 😟

The exact same thing happened to me yesterday. Tried calling Apple bit they refused helping me since the phone SAS bought via an operator.
I ran IOS 4.3.1 on my iphone 4G when it happened.
Did any of you find a way of getting the messages back?

Did you figure out how to get them back? The exact same thing just happened to me. I was sending a picture and it rebooted and then all my texts were gone. UGH
Sorry to say no. Couldn't get any support from apple since my phone was bought through an operator. This independed upon that it was an error in iOS and not in the operator network :(
It's so sad being stuck in the middle...
IT CAN BE FIXED!!!! SEARCH LOST TEXTS ON HERE AND READ!!! I JUST FIXED MINE

Did you fix it? I tried to copy paste but was unable to. Did you write "lost text" in the search? I am going to insert the link I found. Let me know how it works out. VERY IMPORTANT...DO NOT SYNC YOUR PHONE!!! RESTORE FROM BACK UP FIRST...ONCE YOU SYNC, YOU CAN NEVER RETRIEVE
