BDDaemon...Memory Hog, What's Wrong?

Acivity monitor is showing the process BDDaemon using nearly 530 MB of memory, consistently.

While my machine is not protesting except for running a bit hotter (180 ° F compared to about 165 ° F normally) I'd like to lower BDDaemon's memory usage.

How can I accomplish that?

Yeah, that was it. Funny that in my mind I could not connect BBDaemon with BitDefender.

Anyway, I trashed BD and will likely go with ClamX for now 'till BD fixes the BBDaemon issue.

Enen though there are currently no viruses for Mac in the wild I feel more comfortable with an AV program on my machine. It's just a matter of time before some miscreants set a virus or two loose amongst us.
