My iPhone has the wrong Apple ID in MobileMe. How can I reset it to the correct Apple ID?

Could you clarify what you mean by "in MobileMe? Do you mean the MobileMe mail account? Is this your phone? Can you log in to your MobileMe account from a computer with the "correct" Apple ID?


To change the MobileMe mail/calendar/contacts account settings in the phone:


Settings > Mail.... > (your MobileMe account) > Account > enter correct Apple ID and password

"in MobileMe" means on iPhone going to settings, mail, MobileMe account for Mail, Calendars, etc., account; then there's Account Information: that's where the Apple ID is, and it's incorrect.


And the information is not editable in that screen.


Yes, it's my phone; yes, I can log into my MobileMe account from a computer using the correct Apple ID.

My problem is similar but purely a function of upgrading to V 4.3.3. Since upgrading, when I try to update apps I'm presented with Apple ID Password pop-up box that reflections a Mobile Me account I canceled over a year ago. Hence, any password I enter is followed by an attempt to download apps which surrenders to another pop-up that says my Apple Store Account has been disabled. Yet, I can use my Apple TV and Macbook Air to login to my account and purchase movies and songs and download 2/3s of my Iphone apps, but not all. How does one get my correct Apple Store account ID back into my Iphone?

I assume you're actually concerned about your iTunes Store account, not a MobileMe account which you said you cancelled last year. As I already said in the post immediately above yours (always helps to read the thread):


Settings > Store > If incorrect Apple ID shows, tap and sign out. If not signed in or after signing out:


Settings > Store > sign in with correct Apple ID and password.

This doesn't work. I logged out of Store on Iphone then logged in as suggested. Correct Store ID comes up indicating I'm logged in but error continues, wanting me to put in a password for my old Mobile Me account. It appears by using the same ID for my current Store account as I used for my old Mobile Me something in my phone is holding onto that ID, though I don't know how since I didn't get the Iphone until well after I cancelled my Mobile Me account.
