Cannot add videos to my iPod "Classic"

Hi, I just converted a video from a DVD with Handbrake 0.9.5 and couldn't then add it to my iPod. I did a search in spotlight for the file and it came up as a "protected MPEG-4 movie". Now I've followed this proceedure many times over and never had this problem before what has happened to make this occur. Is it Handbrake or QT 10 as igirl1 wrote:discussions.apple.com/thread/2633767?start=0&tstart=0. This file plays just fine in iTunes and sending it to the iPod the green plus sign comes up but nothing happens. Please can anybody help?
