I have been unable to buy songs or download updates since traveling overseas, any ideas?

iTunes asks to verify my account info and then when I do, it says to contact iTunes Support to complete the purchase. I contact them, and they claim to turn it around in 24 hours, going on 2 days now.

iPhone 4, iOS 4.3.2
