which ipod for my wife?

I am going to surprise my wife with an ipod for her birthday (I gave her an ibook for Christmas, which she LOVES). I was going to get her a 30GB ipod, but I've heard that women really like the Nano. Is that generally true? She doesn't need the video playback option since she likes to use the ibook for that on trips. Normally I would let her choose one, but she probably would argue that she doesn't need it, so I wanted to go ahead and get one for her.

Also, does there seem to be a preference in color? It seems like white might be easier to keep up with & not get lost.

I have just finished the polls among my female family members, and the outcomes are as follows :-

Which iPod - You are right - Nano
4 for Nano and 1 for Video

Preference in color - interesting results
For Video - 4 white and 1 black
For Nano - 4 black and 1 white

female here and i have a white nano. it was a gift from my dad. i picked white over black. and i asked for the nano, instead of the video. i myself didn't really need the video option, but 30GB for music would have been amazing. buuuut, i didn't want my dad spending the extra $ on the video.
it depends on how much space she wants/needs i guess.

A white Nano would be perfect. Too, you should have it engraved with something that will stop her in her tracks.
