Wallpaper not loaded from external drive on system startup.

I have a lot of wallpapers and keep them on an external drive. However, after a restart they are not used, the default system wallpaper is loaded instead. (The external drive's partition appears long after the wallpaper should have been loaded.)

The same happens when I copy the pictures to a network drive, that is mapped automatically after logging in.
