Cisco VPN Client lacks 64 bit Support

My machine:

Model Name: MacBook Pro

Model Identifier: MacBookPro8,1

Processor Name: Intel Core i5

Processor Speed: 2.3 GHz

I'm aware that the CiscoVPN client is only 32 bit compatible and someone mentioned that Cisco probably won't be releasing a 64 bit version.

My MacBook Pro boots into 64 bit mode out of the box. This new machine has caused me to create a whole new corporate image as images created by any other system will not boot to it. So I'd like to keep the Cisco software for end user continuity - they're used to it now. I don't want to configure the built in Apple VPN and roll it out unless I have to. I'll probably configure it yet not make it active - simply to cover my bases.

That said, I searched as best I could and didn't find an answer, so my question is:

Will there be any issues setting the new MacBook to boot into 32 bit mode permanently?

Is it possible that Apple at some point will force all machines to boot into 64 bit mode thus breaking 32 bit apps like the Cisco VPN software?

Basically what problems can you foresee if I force the newest machine on our network - which boots to 64 bit out of the box - to boot to 32 bit mode?

Thanks in advance for any assistance!
