It would make a lot of sense that Apple gives us LPX before 10.7, or at least not make 10.7 the min. requirement for it. If LPX needs 10.7, we would need to wait for all our plugins and drivers to be compatible with the new OS before upgrading, which could take some time. It would delay the purchase for everybody who's not working exclusively with LP's plugins and instruments, that's pretty much everybody!!

Although i use LP less than i used to(not using anything else, just having less time for my music), I've enjoyed 2 years of not a single crash with LP9/MainStage2. So, I'm not so much in a hurry to upgrade. It would need a crazy hot feature set to make jump quickly!!

PreSonus Studio one is what logic should be - take a look. For a v1 release, they got a good apple/logic vision of record, mix, release... when this gets to a v3/4, i'm betting it will be a real competitor. It's like an early version of logic but very streamlined and looking very right. I know it's not that same, yadayada, but this is where logic should be in terms of ease of use and feel - i'm not talking about the features. This just works like most apple apps...and like logic should...

Former programmers from Steinberg/Cubase if I'm not mistaken. Cross platform compatibility is definitely a plus. Also, it's advanced quite a bit from that particular demo.

That program still can't do tempo maps or use a buss as an input for heaven's sake;)

I'll take Logic ANY day of the week.

Like i said, i don't want to have a like for like comparision of features - let's not turn the thread into a x VS y thread. What do want to hilight is the style, the GUI, the design. Check out the metering, the opening screen with a profil pic, all the metadata tagging, the mastering metering, it's very apple like anad in it's first incarnation at not even at a 2.0 at the rate it's going it's going to knock logic off if it doesn't learn from studio one.
