Preview blog on welcome/home page

I would like to show the title, date and first 3-4 lines of my 5 most recent blog posts on my welcome/home page when people visit it. I plan on using iweb to run/update the blog as well. Is there a way with iweb to do this or code it in so i don't have to re-type the preview in the text box every single time i update the blog? I'm fairly new to iweb so all the help you can give me in how to make this work is really appreciated.
