Bluetooth Driver Bootcamp Issue

I have a 2011 Macbook Pro with Windows 7 Ultimate installed. Until recently I have had no problems using my might mouse through bluetooth in Windows 7. Today I booted into Windows and the mouse no longer works. I messed around with it for awhile and eventually I went to device manager and realized my bluetooth adapter wasn't even showing up. Bluetooth and mighty mouse still works fine back in Mac OS. I unistalled bootcamp from my Windows 7 and reinstalled all of the drivers. Still having the same issue. Any suggestions?

Instead of shutting down and cold booting, I close the lid on my MacBook Pro when I'm done. This means I'm almost always resuming from hibernation.

I've found that if the Bluetooth mouse is turned off before shutting the lid, the Bluetooth driver will work the overwhelmingly majority of the time when Windows is resumed from hibernation. But if I leave the mouse turned on when the lid is shut, the Apple Bluetooth driver won't maybe 20-40% of the time. However, this workaround of turning off the Bluetooth device before shutting the lid is completely ineffective if SQL Server is installed on the laptop.

I think it is a Broadcom chip. If you can find a driver from the chip manufacturer and install it, you may have better results. I haven't done this because my workaround has reduced the frustration and inconvenience to a tolerable amount.

OK got this to work with a logitech blue tooth mouse and microsoft bluetooth. It seems that Windows has probably changed your mouse bluetooth driver back to the microsoft one. Go to device manager and just make sure the driver for the Bluetooth mouse is listed as Apple MightMouse. If you hit update the driver and then unselect compatible hardware you'll be able to find the driver. I'm kind of interested to try this with a Bluetooth connected Jambox that I could never get to work.

I also got the same problem. No Bluetooth adapter in the device manager.

I also tried to install the driver via the old Hardware wizard:

1. Starting C:/Windows/System32/hdwwiz.exe

2. "Install the hardware that I &manually select from a list (Advanced)"

3. "Show All Devices" - Next

4. Wait a second for windows to load all the drivers

5. Under Manufacturer, select "Apple Inc." and under Model, "Apple Bluetooth Driver"

6. Message showing up:

"The software for this device is now installed, but may not work correctly.

This device cannot start. (Code 10)"

Now the Apple Bluetooth Adapter shows up in the device manager under "System devices" but with the status: "This device cannot start. (Code 10)".

After that, I also tried to restart. Nothing changed.

I also tried to install the Bluetooth Driver from the OSX Windows driver disk. Installed without problems but didn't solve the problem.

Windows 7 64bit - up to date

Bootcamp 3.3

Macbook bought 2009

Model Nr. A1181

Really looking forward for a solution on this problem.

Regards

EDIT:

A while back, my Bluetooth worked on windows. I used it to transfer files from my old phone to my macbook.

EDIT2:

On Mac the Bluetooth adapter works flawless.

I had the same issue in my MBA 2011 - Windows 7 x64. To fix it I followed the following steps (I dont know whether all are needed but worked for me).

First uninstall any third party bluetooth software you may have installed on windows (bluesoleil, toshiba stack, etc)

1.- Set MAC OS X as the starting disk and Boot on Mac OS X

2.- Unpair all bluetooth devices.

3.- Reset SMC and NVRAM

4.- Set up Bootcamp as starting disk and Boot on Windows.

5.- Go to control panel>Hardware>device manager>update hardware (automatic)

6.- You should by now see the Apple built in bluetooth in the device manager. DONT pair any bluetooth jet.

7.- Restart. You should now see the bluetooth icon in the taskbar

8.- Reboot on MAC OS re-pair your devices.

After this if you boot on windows your bootcamp will repair Apple BT devices automatically and you will be able to see and use your magic mouse on bootcamp without repairing.

I have the same problem too. I can see the mouse in

Control Panel \ All Control Panel items \ Devices and Printers as well as Apple Bluetooth Driver in Device manager, but nothing still happens: it doesn't respond like it is installed but switched off.

PS: When I deleted it off theControl Panel \ All Control Panel items \ Devices and Printers to find and install again I wasn't able to install it because the installationg process didn't come though "Connecting to the device..." stage.

1- try this, put your mac drivers flash or CD and click repair while you are in the windows and if this didn't work try the second solution here.

2- i had this problem too and i solved it by reinstalling my windows by going to BOOTCAMP and remove windows and then installed it again. if you really want your windows stuff just backup it from the control panel on windows and after reinstalling it just restore your backup and that's all.
