Q: delete wrong apple ID from the appstore login

when I try to update my apps on the ipad the box that pops up has the wrong apple ID in it and I can not change it no matter what I do.  I have re set the info in the settings and when viewed there the info is correct.  When I get into the app store I still get the wrong ID no matter what I do... anyone have any suggestions

The id that shows in the Update tab for an app will be the id that downloaded the app (either directly on your iPad or on the computer's iTunes that it was synced from) - all apps are tied to the account that downloaded them, only that account can download updates to those apps.

You don't have to literally sign into the iTunes & App Store to update apps purchased by a second Apple ID. All you have to do is type in the password for that ID when asked. I have two Apple IDs and some apps purchased with both, in addition to some apps that were purchased under my husband's Apple ID. When one of those apps needs updating on my device, I put in the password for the ID that is requesting the password.

To make it as seamless as possible, I use the same password on both of my Apple IDs. That way, when it asks for a password, it is not relevant which ID is asking for it.

    Best of luck,

What do you mean? If you log out, then why wouldn't you log the correct one in at that point?

I had the same problem today... But it's been fixed with a simple trick .... (We need to delete the particular App and do this)

First Log Off from your Apple Account Settings->iTunes & App Store then Open App Store (Note: make sure of Fresh opening of App Store, i mean quit and re-open the App Store if it is already been opened and active before you signed off to your Apple ID) ....

Now Search for the particular App to Get and try downloading it. Now it will ask to Sign In to your Apple ID, enter your login credentials and you are good to go
