when i print certain items a printer icon shows up on my dock with a green button. when i go into the printer info it shows my docs to be printed and it says "printing paused". i can't figure out how to un-pause it. it's not the printer itself. it's is not on "pause". and some items that doesn't happen.

When I try to print something when my printer's on pause, a menu drops down and says "Do you want to unpause the printer" or another button says "Add to que"
System Preferences > Print and Fax
Click the "Open Print Queue...". That should open your printer window and you should be able to unpause the printer or be able to search help for it.
Ok. thank you. What i was missing was the "toolbar" kind of thing on the print queu window. your answer made me keep looking and i finally realized there was a button in the upper right corner of the window that made the toolbar pop up that had "resume printing" on it. phew.
now, since you know that one, how about another printing question? (i just got this computer monday):
i downloaded a coupon printer. i can print things fine, but when i print a coupon from a site that requires the coupon printer software i downloaded, it says "hmmm. i can't find your printer or does not ..." i can't remember the rest.
any tips?
