Adobe PDF Printer missing

Why did apple remove the ability to add a pdf printer in snow leopard?

How are we supposed to create postscript files from Adobe InDesign?

Snow Leopard-OTHER, Mac OS X (10.6.7)

Apple did not remove the PDF printer. They still have their own PDF creation system in the same place they always have. But Adobe changed their PDF writer so that it no longer appears as a printer but in the Same PDF menu as Apple's. And as you can see you can create the PS file via the PDF tab that is present in the Printer tab in ID's print dialog.

Save as PDF is different to Save as Adobe PDF. The first is Apple's PDF writer, which gives you no options via te GUI. The latter is the Acrobat version and there are options available via Distiller.

If you need to create a custom size or some other PDF setting then open the Distiller app, located in the Adobe Acrobat folder, and make your adjustments there or create a new profle. Then when you print to Adobe PDF you can select the profile you want.

OK, thanks for the reply. For some reason nothing happens when I select that option. It just reverts back to print screen and that's it. I press print and again nothing happens so I guess I have to deal with another issue. I can't believe they think this is simpler when I have to open Distiller everytime I need another size... I am not happy right now.
