Screen lock won't unlock

Do you mean the passcode lock or rotation lock ?

Go into Settings -> General and you will see a section with "Use Slide Switch:" and select the setting you would like to use.

Rotation lock can be set in one of two ways (and if 'on' there should be a lock symbol with an arrow circling it next to the battery indicator at the top of the screen), depending on what Settings > General > Use Side Switch To is set to : either via the switch on the right hand side above the volume button, or via the taskbar (if the switch is set to control notification mute) - double-click the home button; slide the taskbar to the right; and it's the icon on the far left. 4 finger swipe up the iPad screen then swipe the multitasking bar to the right, there should be a rotation lock icon there, if not, and the side switch isn't working, the iPad might need to be serviced

Robert, I tried the 4 finger swipe in my iphone4 and it unlocked the screen!!!... then I was able to

deactivate the voice-over and the white-on-black features. Thank you very much... I had tried all kinds of resettings without luck, and I was afraid I was going to have to erase and reset the whole iphone memory, but this saves the day...

Hi Robert I need help because I got an new update on the iPod and its not letting me click the numbers to unlock my iPod lock screen I know my password but when I press a number it doesn't appear as the dot on the lock screen so I ask if you can please help me
