Ultra ATA compatibility ? w/ Hitachi ATA-6 vs Seagate ULTRA ATA/100

My 1gz G4 Powerbook 12" is Ultra ATA.

I want to replace the hard drive with a 100GB 7200 rpm

Will the Hitachi ATA-6 work in my PB?

I assume the Seagate ULTRA ATA/100 will work. Am I correct?

If both work, given that the Hitachi is quieter and better on some speeds is the add'l 2-year Seagate warranty (5 years vs Hitachi's 3 years) worth the extra $100 pricetag?)

(Anyone have any experience pro/con with a Seagate Barracuda?)

THANKS!

I think I've answered my own questions.

The Barracudas seem to be for desktops not laptops.

Also, regarding compatability of Ultra ATA with Hitachi, the key seems to be to be sure to get an ATA/IDE interface.

I found a summary of compatibility for the Hitachi Travelstar 7K100 and Travelstar E7K100 2.5 inch ATA/IDE hard disk drives, model numbers: HTS721010G9AT00, HTS721080G9AT00, HTS721060G9AT00, HTE721010G9AT00, HTE721080G9AT00, HTE721060G9AT00 at:

Riis

Just some added information regarding the Travelstar (I have one fitted in my 12" PowerBook).

When ordering from online retailers, make sure you order the Ultra ATA version - not the Serial ATA model as that has a different connector and is not compatible with your PB.
