Jun 3, 2011 12:20 PM in response to Shanda Reneeby a brody,If the machine's PRAM battery hasn't been replaced in 4 years or more, that can start misbehavior of the optical drive.
If the discs were kept in anything but a jewelbox, or were sticky labelled or hand written on the label side, that can cause some optical drives to not be able to consistantly read them.
If the discs were burnt at faster than 2x, older machines may have difficulty reading them.
