hahaha.... i can achieve 5 hours and more.
i'm happy to know that. 🙂
but, something weird, my ipod only last about 1,5 days for one charge.
(normal using, discontinous uses, for music and sometimes play video, with sennheiser HD202 headphone)
seems ipod uses a lot of power when sleep. i doubt there is something affect my battery life :
is it normal and my nano is in good condition ?
i'm asking it because i was a 2nd user..
now i'm running my ipod with videos, it run about 2 hours, 26 minutes of videos non stop with minimal interaction of control.
and the battery show about 60%, more than half.
is it normal, as apple claim video playback for about 5 hours ?
i'll wait until the iPod turn of itself, and will report it back here...
after searching around the web, i found that nano 5th sleep feature is su*ks.....
it will drain a precious % of battery....
i dunno how stupid apple when implement this thing.
as my nano 2nd gen doesn't have a problem about battery when sleep,
can apple just give a switch to turn on/off, rather than sleep mode..... 😟
Samuel,
According to this article, your Nano should get 24 hours of music playback on a full charge and 5 hours of video on a full charge, but those are best case scenarios.
As for your second question, see this Apple support document.

The 5 hours is a best possible case scenario. If your Nano lasts longer than that, consider yourself lucky. 🙂
