I have linked my iphone and Ipod touch with a single account in itunes. (Same username and password). Now i am planning to sell my ipod touch to my friend. Is it possible to remove that ipod touch device from my itunes a/c. Is it also possible for my friend to create is own a/c later? Please help me.

You should be able to do Settings > General > Reset > Erase all Content and Settings, as you can't transfer/copy apps or content to another person/account
That removes my Apple account from the device, but the device still shows up when I sign into "Find my iPhone".
Yeah - we need to erase a device from your apple account which stores its serial number and so on. Because say you have 5 devices already set up with your apple account but you're selling one and you're going to buy another - it won't let you add a 6th device.
So back to original questions then...
I believe that you have to "Deauthorize All" from within your iTunes Account Information page. I've been looking at how to delete just one account myself and can't find it.
I have the same original question.... how to make it so itunes never would have seen that device?

I am also trying to delete a device from my itunes but dont have the option to manage devices on my account home screen, all i have is the option to deauthorise all computers linked to my account? Can anyone help?

Hello everyone,
If you are planning to sell or replace your ipod/itouch/ipad, all you need to do is the following:
The following works for iTunes 10.5 and later versions.....
1. First synce your ipod/itouch/ipad in iTunes.
2. Disconnect the ipod/itouch/ipad from iTunes. and then on the ipod/itouch/ipad select "settings", "General", "Reset", "Erase all Content and Settings".
3. DO NOT CONNECT the ipod/itouch/ipad to iTunes again. Now launch iTunes and from the menu bar go to "edit", "preferences", and select the "devices" tab. Highlight/select the device that you are no longer going to use/sell etc. Then after it is highlighted, select "delete backup".
Thats it... you can now sell it or give it to a friend 🙂

Are you allowed to remoce a device from your home computer that is not an Apple product?
My stepson has an iPod Touch that is managed under my account and he has managed to rack up a pretty heft bill, so the device needs to go. LOL Thanks for any help.
