my camera roll is hidden behind the Albums label and I am unable to access the pictures yet I can look at other photos in the other album underneath this.

Did you try a reset? Hold the on/off and home button simultaneously, until the device shuts down and you see the apple symbol appear.

This is a known bug.

Press the Home button to close the Photos app. Double tap the home button to open the recents list. Press and hold the Photos icon until it wiggles. Press the red button to close it. Press the Home button to close the list. Reopen the Photos app.

This known bug has been problematic for me for the last two software updates. Thank God I use a PC.

Killing the task fixes it for awhile but it comes back, hopefully apple will fix it in IOS 5?!

If you open the Camera, touch picture in bottom left corner, Camera Roll will appear in upper left corner. Tap it and view pics and videos. Glad to know it wasn't something I had done inadvertently.

Thanks for that update, I have been experiecing this alot and I was resetting the phone each time, which takes too long.

Thanks paulcb for the workaround. Have been getting irritated all this while with this bug and applying the workaround of accessing my camera roll after turning on the camera. But your solution is so simple yet so effective. Must be on top of the bug list to be addressed in iOS 5. Lets hope.

When the icon is wiggling in the Recents List, there is a red ➖ sign... tap that.
